A clean and thoughtful novel based somewhat on A Christmas Carol. Instead of Ebineezer Scrooge we have Ebony--a romance writer. Her life is her books but lately she has been having writers block. Blaze who was almost her step brother comes back to town--but she barely has time for him.

She is visited by her past, her present and her bleak future.

Will she be able to turn her life around? Make sure you have tissues at hand for this happy ending!!

I really enjoyed this quick Christmas novella. It’s sort of a take on “Scrooge” A Christmas Carol. Ebony, trying to be a successful romance writer, has put everything and everyone aside to write her next stories. Bah humbug! Blaze, her almost step-brother and the hero in her novels has come home on leave just to see her. Even though she’s got feelings for him, she has a deadline and that’s what’s important. Then she is visited by spirits from the past, present, and future. Well that’s the idea. Now you have to read it to find out about the Christmas worthy ending.

Ebony had come to her old home to push through her book. But the characters weren't doing what she wanted them to. Her almost step-brother was home on leave. Talking to him helped her reboot her story. But those darn characters. Ms Ayala writes another wonderful story.
